Brooklyn manufacturers, makers, and creative entrepreneurs: get ready for your most productive two weeks of the new year...join SBIDC this Spring for Plan for Growth: Finance Bootcamp, instructed by Elli Papadopoulos of Skopos Collective!

Launching March 2026 over the course of four classes in two weeks, you will learn how to analyze your unique business model, maximize its profitability and create an organized Profit & Loss Statement that works for your business on paper AND in Quickbooks Online. You already have your numbers - you just need some guidance and the toolkit to help analyze them, alongside a supportive community of peer entrepreneurs. We got you! 

This educational opportunity is coupled with one private coaching consultation (90 minutes) from Skopos Collective to apply the class concepts to your business. You will also have a chance to completely revamp your financial structure and share it with your peers for feedback and conversation.

💵 Program Fee ($): Thanks to our funders, the fee is reduced to $375. Fee includes one-year SBIDC membership. We offer payment plans as well as sliding scale for participants experiencing economic hardship.

2026 Curriculum + Dates

All classes will take place at Creative Workshops at 33 35th Street in Industry City, Brooklyn.  

Participants must attend all four in-person classes. Note: Class 1 and 2 are full days 9am-4pm. If you cannot commit at this time, register your interest for a future cohort here.

               Tues, Feb 17 Virtual Introductory Session

     1️⃣    Tues, Mar 3 (9a-4p) Foundations in Financial Management + Designing Your Chart of Accounts

                Our first full-day session builds the financial groundwork every business owner needs. We move from big-picture financial mindset to practical technical skills, using a real-world case study to bring concepts to life. Our closing exercise brings in the Skopos Financial Model Canvas (FMC) to help design a Chart of Accounts that tailors your Profit & Loss so it actually *looks* like your business on paper.

     2️⃣     Thur, Mar 5 (9a-4p) Margins, Pricing, Break-Even + Chart of Accounts Refinement

                Our second full-day sessions is a hands-on business strategy class that gives you the analytical tools to evaluate profitability, set prices methodically, and make investment decisions using one simple framework to rule them all: Break Even Analysis.                                                

                Fri, Mar 6 – Mon, Mar 9 by appointment

                Each participant receives a dedicated 1:1 coaching session to finalize their Chart of Accounts ahead of Class 3 presentations. 

     3️⃣     Tues, Mar 10 (9a-1p) Chart of Accounts Presentations + QuickBooks Online Foundations

                During this half-day session, it's time to put the concepts and theories learned into practice...your plan is ready for QuickBooks Online! This class bridges your new accounting structure with real-world bookkeeping skills.                                                

     4️⃣      Thur, Mar 12 (9a-1p) QBO Deep Dive: Reporting, Integrations & Process-Building

                Time to take it to the next level, now that you've implemented your Chart of Accounts and learned simple tips & tricks...it's time to dive deeper.

                 Thur, Apr 2 (12-1:30p) Post-Program Virtual Check-In

                Three weeks after our last class, we'll regroup virtually to check in on your progress and answer any lingering questions.
